So what is the best strategy in order to send a fat belly? Is it as simple as adding certain foods to your diet, or perform specific exercises?

Do not despair, you can lose that spare tire, experts say. But there is no secret formula.
"There is no magic bullet, diet plan, specific food or type of exercise that is designed specifically for belly fat. But the good news - the belly fat, the first type of fat that you tend to lose when you lose weight," says Michael Jensen, MD , a specialist in Endocrinology Mayo Clinic researcher and obesity.
Are you a form of "apple" with the excess fat belly, or "pear" with wide hips and thighs, when you lose weight, you will most likely lose proportionately more from the abdominal region than elsewhere.
"Ninety-nine percent of people who lose weight, lose it in the abdominal region before anywhere else - and will lose proportionately more weight from the upper body," says Jensen, also a professor of medicine.
And why is that? "Visceral fat, kind of tucked deep in your waist is more metabolically active and easier to lose than subcutaneous fat under the skin, especially if you have a lot of it," explains Kris-Etherton Penny Penn State researcher, Ph.D., RD.
And the more weight you should lose, the more quickly you will probably start losing your belly fat, experts said.
"People who are significantly overweight may see faster results in my stomach than someone who has less to lose in the region, such as referring to post-menopausal bag," says professor of food Georgia State University, Kristin Rosenbloom, Ph.D., RD.
Whole Grains Can Help You Lose Belly Fat?
A recent study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed that a calorie-controlled diet rich in whole grains, cut extra fat from the waistline of obese subjects.
Learn the participants who ate all whole grains (in addition to five servings of fruits and vegetables, three service low-fat dairy, and two maintenance of lean meat, fish or poultry) lost more weight from the abdominal area than another group that ate the same diet, but with all the refined grains.
"Eating a diet rich in whole grains, reducing refined carbohydrates changes the glucose and insulin response and makes it easier to mobilize the full depot," says Kris-Etherton researcher studies Penny, Ph.D., RD, distinguished professor of nutritional sciences at the State University Penn.
"Visceral fat is more metabolically active and easier to lose than subcutaneous fat, especially if you have a lot of it, and the right conditions are met, such as those in our study."
When you eat refined foods like white bread, it triggers a series of events beginning with elevated blood sugar levels, accompanied by an increased response to insulin, which can cause fat to be deposited more readily. But eating a diet rich in whole grains (which also tend to be higher in fiber) helps improve insulin sensitivity. This in turn helps the body make better use of blood glucose, lowers blood glucose levels, and reduces the total deposit.
